OUR OFFERING

FOUNDATION PHASE

​At Samurai, we realise that Grade R- 3 is a crucial year for laying the foundation for lifelong learning. This is why we make use of the unique Impaq study material and programme.

​

These grades include four compulsory subjects:

• At least one home language. (English or Afrikaans)

• A first additional language subject. (We offer English and Afrikaans)

• Mathematics.

• Life Skills.

• We also offer Bible Studies as a non-examinable additional subject.

INTERMEDIATE PHASE

​THE INTERMEDIATE PHASE COMPRISES OF GRADE 4 TO 6 AND INCLUDES SIX COMPULSORY SUBJECTS:

• At least one home language.

• A second language subject (home language or first additional language level).

• Mathematics.

• Natural Sciences and Technology.

• Social Sciences.

• Life Skills.

We also offer Bible Studies as a non-examinable additional subject. 

SENIOR PHASE

THE SENIOR PHASE COMPRISES OF GRADE 7 TO 9 AND INCLUDES NINE COMPULSORY SUBJECTS:

• At least one home language.

• First Additional Language.

• Mathematics.

• Natural Sciences.

• Social Sciences.

• Life Orientation.

• Creative Arts.

• Economic Management Sciences.

• Technology.

We also offer Bible Studies as a non-examinable additional subject. 

FET PHASE

This pathway requires the completion of seven subjects, of which four are compulsory and three electives.Subjects offered in the FET Phase include:

COMPULSORY

• At least one home language

• A second language at home language or first additional language level

One compulsory mathematical subject:

• Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy

Life Orientation is the fourth compulsory subject
